Senior Care is a licensed nonprofit adult day health program providing exceptional care to the frail elderly
of Essex and Passaic Counties since 1978. Our expanded services in our new beautiful and secure facility
include: health monitoring by RN's, transportation, nutritious meals, spacious rooms for therapeutic
activities and positive social interaction; a beauty salon, an enclosed out door courtyard, a wandering
security system, access to speech, physical and occupational therapies.

Cable Television Discount
The cable television companies sometimes offer a discount rate for cable television reception to senior
citizens age 62+ or disabled individuals meeting income and residency eligibility requirements of the PAAD
program. This program only applies if there is no more than one non-senior citizen-disabled person in the

New Jersey residents age 62 or older desiring to dig for clams or oysters may obtain a license for only a

Fishing in NJ is Free to NJ Residents that ate 70 and over

New Jersey residents of at least six months, ages 65 though 69, may obtain a fishing license at a reduced
fee. If blind, there is no charge for a fishing license to New Jersey residents. For residents over the age
of 70 no license or trout stamps are required. A driver's license or other acceptable proof of age
containing date of birth and physical description will function as the actual fishing license for those 70
or over. To apply for a license, contact the NJ Department of Environmental Protection, Division of Fish,
Game & Wildlife.

Volunteer for The Fresh Air Fund and host an inner-city child. This summer, join thousands of volunteer host
families in 13 Northeastern states and Canada as they open their hearts and homes to New York City children
from low-income communities through The Fund's Friendly Town program. The Friendly Town program allows
youngsters from New York City to experience simple summer pleasures like skipping rocks across a lake,
smelling newly cut grass and making new suburban and country friends. A Fresh Air summer vacation can open a

Jersey City Free Public Library
Have you been to your local library lately? If you have not you are in for a pleasant surprise in Jersey
City. The Jersey City Free Public Library system offers a variety of senior programs including musicals,
movies, and classes in personal computing. The main library is also a great place research ancestors who
passed through Ellis Island. Also for history buffs, the Reference Department has microfilm of The Jersey
Journal from 1868 and The New York times from 1850. There are 11 branch libraries - five regional and six

Senior Citizen Pass

New Jersey Residents age 62 or older are entitled to a Senior Citizen Pass which allows the holder free
entry and free parking at any park, forest or historic site administered by the Division of Parks &
Forestry. This pass does not include overnight camping or other fees within the facilities. Application for
the pass should be made to Administrative Services, Division of Parks & Forestry, NJ Department of
Environmental Protection.

company offering the drug plan you choose and ask for an application. Once you fill out the form, mail or
fax it back to the company. On the plan's website: Visit the drug plan company's website. You may be able to
join online. On the www.medicare.gov website: You will also be able to join a drug plan at the Medicare
website by using Medicare's online enrollment center. By Phone: You can join a drug plan by calling
