American Red Cross Class & Family Caregiver Classes
A series of eight one-hour modules to help participants gain an understanding of what is involved in caring for a loved one. The purpose of Family Caregiver Support Classes is to help participants gain an understanding of what is involved in caring for a loved one and know how to provide that care through eight one-hour class modules covering topics such as personal care, nutrition, home safety and others.

The Wellness @ Home CEU Workshop offers up to 6.5 continuing education credits through the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses (ARN). LouisianaSenioRx.org is a program that connects qualified, low-income people with discount prescription drugs, direct from the pharmaceutical manufacturer. The program was created in 2003 by the Louisiana Legislature to provide resources to help senior citizens access and apply for manufacturer's discount cards and pharmaceutical assistance programs. The program is administered by the Governor's Office of Elderly Affairs.

You can join a Medicare Prescription Drug Plan in the following ways: By paper application: Contact the company offering the drug plan you choose and ask for an application. Once you fill out the form, mail or fax it back to the company. On the plan's website: Visit the drug plan company's website. You may be able to join online. On the www.medicare.gov website: You will also be able to join a drug plan at the Medicare website by using Medicare's online enrollment center. New Orleans Continuity of Care - NOCC
NOCC is a non-profit organization designed to provide a monthly education and networking luncheon for healthcare professionals. Membership represents all facets of the healthcare arena: Case Managers, Caregivers, Companions, Home Health, Hospices, Hospitals, Rehabilitation and Senior Housing to name a few.
