Over the years, the Arthritis Foundation has been informing the public about the research and treatments for arthritis. When it comes to unconventional therapies, the Arthritis Foundation has often taken the path of warning you about the dangerous ones. We have created our Guide to Alternative Therapies book. We want to help you choose wisely and safely among the many therapies in the news. Many unconventional remedies may help you successfully manage your disease, especially when used along with your regular medical treatments. However, there are also "therapies" to approach with care. Our goal with this book is to simply present the information to you, not to tell you what to do.
