Total Longterm Care (TLC) and Seniors, Inc. teams are honored to have been welcomed into the Pueblo community. The health care and support services provided by TLC and Seniors Inc. provide the perfect supplement to the wonderful services that are already available in the Pueblo community. Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo (HARP) Events
The Historic Arkansas Riverwalk of Pueblo (HARP) Authority maintains a website highlighting the recreational environment developed around the Arkansas River in downtown Pueblo. This 32-acre urban area features a variety of natural and man-made water features incorporating walking paths, lakes, natural settings for waterfowl, fish and other wildlife. The area features events ranging from educational, cultural and community programs.

The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk
The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. It calls on volunteers of all ages to become champions in the fight against Alzheimer's. By teaming up with the Alzheimer's Association, you can walk with a purpose - and move us closer to a world without Alzheimer's. Together, we can MOVE a nation!

American Medical Response of Pueblo
American Medical Response of Pueblo - AMR is the local ambulance service providing emergency and
non-emergency transport for Pueblo County. Several employees with the group perform community service
programs with the Optimist Club, Kiwanis, Drive Smart, Explorer Post 9-1-1, Adopt a Highway, Home for the
Holiday, Sentimental Journey, community CPR classes and several EMS related committees. For more information

American Red Cross Volunteer Opportunities.

Hears Program from Easter Seals Southern Colorado
Easter Seals and the local SERTOMA clubs have been partners in the Hears programs since 1988. They have
tested and fitted over 2,400 low-income people with hearing aids. Of those served, ranging in age form 1 to
100, nearly 70% are over 60 years old. Hears provides these hearing aids for a fraction of the commercial
cost, due to the generous contributions from participating audiologists, ENTs, hearing aid manufacturers,

Pueblo Choral Society
The Pueblo Choral Society is a local non-profit organization committed to keeping the arts a vibrant part of
Colorado. We offer three paid admission and two free concerts to the community. Tickets for concerts are
$15.00, $12.00 for seniors, except for the Spring Gala, in which tickets are $21.00, $20.00 for seniors. For

Senior Information and Assistance Programs from PAAA
The Pueblo Area Agency on Aging-PAAA provides coordinated services. Senior Programs administered by PAAA are
available to seniors, sixty-years of age or older. Funding is limited and preference is given to elders in
the greatest economic need. Programs include homemaker service, information, family caregiver support, legal
services, Meals on Wheels, congregate meals, transportation, dental, prescription and eyeglass services.
There are no fees to participate but recipients are encouraged to make an anonymous donation toward the cost
of services. However, no one will be denied services due to an inability to make a donation. Call

US War Veterans
There is a new, national effort, entitled the Veterans History Project and they are collecting and
preserving the memories, accounts and documents of war veterans. Along with oral histories, the Library of
Congress will welcome donations of letters, photographs, diaries, maps, drawings and other documents. The
library will compile a searchable catalog so that the collection will be available for future generations.

Volunteer Opportunity with Ombudsman Program
The Pueblo Long-term Care Ombudsman Program is part of the Pueblo Area Agency on Aging. The group is
concerned with protecting the civil and human rights of elderly persons in long-term care (LTC). The LTC
Ombudsman makes regular visits to all Colorado licensed nursing homes and assisted faculties in Pueblo
County to provide advocacy for residents and their families. The program utilizes volunteers to assist with
facility visits and complaint investigations. This is a great opportunity to become a part of a caring
advocacy team. Call 719-583-6123.
"Winter-nest" Assisted Living For Snowbirds
For many years Snowbirds have headed to Florida for warm winter vacations but as we age some of our abilities change. Up north at their summer homes, family is there to help and now Snowbird Assisted Living is there for the winter season in sunny St. Cloud Florida.
